411 E. State Street, Ithaca, NY, was the home of Mr. Archie and Mrs. Annie Singleton. While as a student at Cornell, Jewel Robert H. Ogle rented a room from the Singletons. It was the meeting place of the Social Study Club, and at a later period, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

421 N. Albany Street
C.C. Poindexter, a graduate student at Cornell University in the fall of 1905, formed a social study club, of which several of Cornell's black students were participants. The home of Mr. Edward Newton, where Poindexter also resided, at 421 N. Albany Street, is where the first meeting of the Social Study Club was held.
